I joined the Abacus team and became a Quality Assurance Officer in 2016, just after graduating from university as a Biochemical Engineer. Although parallel importing is something I have mainly learnt about since working at Abacus, my studies did allow me to gain extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. After 1 year at Abacus, I joined the FMD project to help Abacus comply with the legislation on counterfeit/falsified medicines that comes into effect on February 9, 2019.
The FMD project and the legislation compliance require new software and equipment as well as new processes. Therefore, the project necessitates serious resources, and this is why I was appointed the Validation Manager position.
As a Validation Manager, I am responsible for project implementation, the validation of the new FMD system and the provision of proper documentation during the implementation. It is also my job to do equipment qualifications as well as creating and coordinating new workflows.
The Validation Manager position is a professional challenge for me, but it is also a great opportunity.
For me, Abacus offers development, stability and a secure future.
